Reminder to hikers: once the trail is groomed, PLEASE DO NOT walk on groomed track.

Trails were groomed for skiing Friday morning, Jan 13. Conditions are fair to poor. Grass and leaves are showing in some areas, there are a few bare spots due to drifting. We need a few more inches of snow to fall and conditions will be great!

A Pileated Woodpecker has been hanging around our Hussong Trail area along with many other woodpeckers and songbirds. Bald Eagles are circling daily, as well as Cooper’s Hawks and Red-tailed Hawks. Red Fox tracks are visible on the trail most days. Even if snow conditions are poor–it’s a great time to be outdoors!
