Live Animals
Our Live Animal Program is very popular! Live animals are shared up close with the opportunity for touching. Many Live Animal Programs are available. 45 - 60 minutes depending on group questions.

- Birds of Prey
- Owls
- Wild Friends: Mix of 2 or 3 of any of the above animals
NOTE: If your chosen animal is not available, an appropriate substitute will be made.
Hikes
We have a number of trail activities and props that can be used for each hike. Maximum of 20 students on a hike at one time. 45 - 60 minutes. Hike topics include:
- Wildflowers
- Insect Safari
- Tree Identification
- Bird Identification
- Animal Homes
- Animal Tracks (winter only)
- General Discovery
- Wolf Habitat
- Seasonal (fall colors, how plants & animals change, etc.)
- Deer Habitat - Specific information about deer is shared
- Snowshoe (1-1 1/2 hours) *$2.00/person (6" minimum snow depth)
Wisconsin's Wildlife Tour
Walk and talk with groups specifically about the live native Wisconsin animals that are on exhibit. (i.e. what the animal is, where it lives, what it eats, why it is at the Sanctuary, etc.) 30-45 minutes.
Indoor Exhibit Tour
Talk and work with a group at a specific exhibit in the Nature Center. 30-45 minutes.
Woodland Building - inside nocturnal animals (skunk, owl, flying squirrel, etc.)
Pond Study
Take groups of about 10-15 students out to the pond at a time, may put on waders and go out with dip nets and see what they can find. 1 hour. Available late spring only.
Environmental Adventure
This activity will either be our choice or the teacher's choice. It will relate something that the students are learning about in their classroom. We design the program from various resources (i.e. Project WILD, NatureScope, Project Learning Tree, etc.) 45-60 minutes.

- Reservations are accepted for anytime during the year from one year in advance to two weeks prior to scheduled program date.
- Program time shortened for late arrivals.

- Groups must provide one adult chaperone for every 10 students.

Offsite Within City Limits - $4.00 per person
Snowshoe Hikes - $2.00 per person
