About Our Rehabilitation Program
In 1935, the Sanctuary began as a waterfowl rehabilitation site. Today, it continues to receive over 4,000 injured, orphaned and sick animals each year. Our goal is to release as many of these rehabilitated animals back into the wild as possible.
Animals that cannot survive in the wild may be used by our staff as wildlife education ambassadors.
